Recently, our university and Brunel University London held an international cooperation video conference. Vice President Liu Yanjun, Vice President of Brunel University London Professor Trevor, leaders of relevant departments and colleges of both universities attended the conference. The conference was presided over by Wang Wenli, Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department.
Liu Yanjun expressed cordial greetings to Professor Trevor on behalf of our university. He introduced the development history of our university, disciplinary advantages, scientific research teams, international exchanges and so on. He said that the two universities had similar discipline structure and strong desire for long-term cooperation. He hoped that the two universities could take master's and doctor's training as a breakthrough and extend to co-construction of laboratories and scientific research cooperation. Professor Trevor introduced the basic information of Brunel University London. He was full of confidence in the future cooperation between the two universities. He hoped that the two universities could carry out in-depth cooperation in the fields of machinery, computer and control, and looked forward to exploring new ways of win-win development together with our university. Subsequently, the two sides discussed master and doctor training, laboratory co-construction, student exchange, teacher visiting and other aspects, and jointly discussed the new mode of international cooperation. The two universities would take this opportunity to learn from each other's educational philosophy, promote long-term development and achieve win-win cooperation.
Brunel University London was founded in 1966 and named after Isambard Kingdom Brunel, a famous British engineer. Its engineering subjects were among the best in UK and world rankings, particularly computer science and mechanical engineering. It was ranked 351st globally in the 2022 QS World University Rankings.
